Today has been a fantastic day at the Hound Hotel. Gypsy's new family came to pick her up and brought her new boyfriend, Knauss, to meet her. Gypsy and Knauss got along like two peas in a pod. They raced together in the back yard and got to know each other a little and it was great. Her new family already loves her and we are thrilled that Gypsy will live happily ever after. Gypsy will spend many afternoons at the dog park and will be a member of a terrific family. This story has a happy ending and Gypsy's foster mom and dad couldn't be happier. Cheers to Gypsy, Knauss, and your family! We can't wait to see you all at the annual picnic this summer!

Gypsy-Adoption Pending!!!!

Great news from the Hound Hotel! After only one day, Gypsy has found her new forever home. Her new family will be picking her up soon and she will be moving in with another former Hound Hotel foster greyhound, Knauss. When Gypsy heard the news, she danced around the kitchen and gave high fives to all. She can't wait to meet her new family and greyhound boyfriend! They certainly will make a fine looking couple. Congrats to Gypsy and to her new family!

Gypsy has arrived!!!

The Hound Hotel is once again open for business and our newest foster greyhound, Gypsy(UMR Gypsy Jenny) has arrived. Gypsey has been returned to us after being in a home for three years. Gypsy is fully house trained and very well behaved. She is also drop dead gorgeous. She is a beautiful fawn colored greyhound and she just turned five. She is already getting along well with the resident greyhounds at the Hound Hotel and has completed her first few laps in the back yard. While she looks like a supermodel, she doesn't act like one. In the course of just a few hours, she is proving to be a very affectionate and friendly greyhound. She already has foster dad wrapped around her little finger. We will provide more updates as we get to spend more time with her. If you would like to meet Gypsy, please contact Denise Davis to schedule an appointment. In the meantime, enjoy the posted photos and video of this absolutely beautiful greyhound.

Comeback Here-Adopted!!!!

Comeback Here has left the hound hotel and has raced to his new home! Yesterday was a great day as Comeback's new family came to pick him up and take him to his forever home. Comeback learned his lessons well at the hotel and is eager to learn more at his new home. He is looking forward to long walks and lots of pets with his new family. He will be the first greyhound for his family so we welcome them to the greyhound community! Comeback is a terrific addition to their home and is going to be a fantastic hound. Congrats to Comeback and to his new family as well. We will miss Comeback Here a lot but we know that he is in a greyt situation and he will live a happy life. Happy trails Comeback and we hope to see you again soon!

Comeback Here-Adoption Pending!!!!!!!

Great news again! It only took one day in his foster home for Comeback Here to get adopted! It will be official on Friday when his new family comes to pick him up. Until then, Comback Here will stay with his foster family and learn some more about being a retired greyhound. He has been practicing the stairs, and keeping in shape in the yard. He wants to be sure to look his best when his forever family comes to get him. Comeback Here can't wait to get out of here and get to his new home. He will be moving to the nations capital and plans to rub elbows and paws with the rich and powerful on Capitol Hill. He also has reservations at Planet Hollywood, where he says they should all know him, considering that he was a pro athlete! We are looking forward to giving him a big sendoff to his new home, but we will miss him. Comback Here can comback here and hang out anytime with his new greyhound buddies, and with his foster mom and dad.

Today has turned out to be a great day. A family drove four hours from Virginia to adopt Starburst, and he is on his way to his forever home now. They came to meet him and brought their greyhound, Slick, and they got along beautifully. Starburst was a perfect gentleman, as usual, and now has a permanent home. That is great news. I will say that Starburst is one greyhound that we are really going to miss. He has been a pleasure to have here and he can hang out with us anytime he wants. We look forward to seeing him again at the annual picnic. Good luck Starburst, and congratulations!

Comeback Here has come here!

The Hound Hotel is open for business and Aunt Denise has sent Comeback Here to hang out with us for a while. We picked up Comeback Here this afternoon and he is now starting his acclimation period in his foster home. The only problem with him is that when we say his name, other hounds start running to us! We will figure it out. He is a beautiful boy who looks like he will be a terrific greyhound. We can already tell that he will be a very well behaved hound. It is hard to believe that he hasn't been adopted already, but sometimes it takes a little time. We introduced him to our other hounds and to Starburst, our other foster greyhound, in the yard and he was perfect. He is in the house now and starting to learn how to relax. He laid down on his first doggy bed a few minutes ago, and seemed to like it a lot. The picture above of him is of the first time he has ever laid down on a doggy bed in a house. The picture up top is of Comeback Here, Starburst, and our dog Snoops, just hanging out together. He also really likes having his tummy rubbed. That seems to be the sweet spot with Comeback Here. As soon as I rub his tummy, he stops stressing, and just enjoys. Every dog has a sweet spot, we just have to find it. Stay tuned for more info about Comeback Here as we learn more about him.
